Not sure what you’re doing next summer?

Want to experience Canada's wild outdoors, but don't have a clue where to start?

Need a crash course in photography, social media and blogging?

Want to join a small group of like-minded adventurers looking to have an incredible time and learn a ton at the same time?

Want to try some of the best beer and poutine in Canada?

On this short trip, you’ll pick up a fresh set of skills, visit some of our best hidden gems, and meet some awesome new travel buds

 Here's what's included:

- A 4D3N day tour of the Canadian Rockies. You can choose from 4 unique adventures, each jam packed with hidden gems.

- 3* Accommodation in Banff. This isn’t a luxury tour, but from my experience, all you need is a good bed to crash in at the end of a long day of shooting!

(Guests looking for something more luxurious are welcome to book alternative accommodation themselves or camp. In this case, the room price will be deducted from total. Alternative accommodation should be in Banff)

-Daily “campfire” sessions on photography, social media marketing, blogging and social media (focused on the group’s learning priorities).

-Daily transport

-All the s’mores you can handle (or crash out if it’s been a long day)

-Airport pick-up/drop off and transfer to/from Banff (should arrive Friday afternoon 5-6pm)

-Continental Breakfast included

-Bear Spray

What's not included?

  • Airfare

  • Travel/medical/equipment insurance (proof required before tour)

  • Lunches, dinner and snacks beyond what we haven't provided

  • Alcohol

What else can I expect?

-You'll visit all the very best spots in the area (we'll send you your specific itinerary prior to your trip)

-1, 2 or 3 moderate/strenuous hikes depending on group’s appetite (2019’s group managed to squeeze in Smutwood Peak, Devil’s Thumb and EEOR - click here to read all about our adventures!). Must be comfortable being on your feet all day (although there’ll be plenty of breaks).

-Don’t worry, we'll go slow - but also remember that we're at a high altitude up here so you might not be the rockstar you thought you were!

-Lots of great food and drink. You’ll be going to some of our favourite local restaurants and watering holes in Banff.

-Plenty of early starts for sunsets that are going to make your eyes pop and your jaw drop

-More s'mores and campfire beers than you can shake a fist at.

-If the conditions are looking good, you’ll also have a chance to shoot some astro photography (bring warm clothing)!

What else will I learn?

-Learn how to use your camera like a boss

-Learn how to set up a landscape shot, as well as how to take stunning lifestyle and travel shots

-How to take beautiful travel photos of yourself if you're travelling solo

-The science behind light, and how to use it to make stunning photographs

-An evening Adobe Lightroom masterclass and for those that have mastered it already, or an intro to Adobe Photoshop.

-Depending on the group's interest, we can also cover how to take stunning Astro/ Northern Lights photos and how to take beautiful long exposure photos

Social Media - BONUS

This isn’t a serious part of the trip, but as we make a living through social media and blogging and have a great deal of experience on the subject, you can ask us anything and expect honest answers. If the group is looking for a lesson on a particular subject, that can also be accommodated. Topics might include some or all of the following;

-Social media secrets (Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, blogging and more), and all the tools you need to grow

-How we've travelled the world using social media and blogging

-How to work with brands and get work as a photographer/digital influencer

…and anything else you can think of..

Is it all serious then?

Hell no. This is the trip of a lifetime, and we expect you to have a blast. Yes you'll be learning a ton of new things, but that's just going to be the icing on the cake! Even if all you have is a phone and you just want an adventure to write home about, this tour is going to rock your socks!

You're going to love this trip if:

- You're looking for adventure and you love the outdoors!

-You're wanting to learn some great skills and have a great experience at the same time

-You're hoping to meet an awesome group of like-minded travellers

-You're happy to sacrifice your beauty sleep for memories that will last you a lifetime

-You're ok with breaking the diet every now and then

You won't enjoy this trip if:

- you can't function without your 8 hours of sleep (don't worry, we won’t be going too hard, but limited sleep kind of comes with the territory)

-you need this vacation to be luxurious.. (you’re welcome to upgrade your accommodation though)

-you have a problem with going to the toilet in the outdoors/in an outhouse.

-you're just here for the photography.. not to have fun.

-the thought of exercise and long walks brings you out in a rash

-you're afraid of the dark

What’s my experience?

You may be wondering what qualifies me to run a photography tour in Banff, so here’s a bit more info about my experience!

  • I’ve lived in Banff for almost 8 years and have come to know the area extremely well.

  • I’ve hosted Airbnb ‘Photography Tour of Banff’ experiences for the past year with a 4.96* rating and over 50 reviews. Check my profile here if you’re more interested in a 1 day Airbnb tour!

  • I’ve been a full time Banff-based photographer for 3 years and have built a very solid understanding of the best photography spots and when to visit them.
